Pack 4 Carnival Night

November Pack Meeting

Each den will create a carnival game which the scouts will run at the event. The games don’t have to be elaborate and the creation should take place at your den meetings. (If the Tiger Cubs don’t get a booth completed in time that’s OK. They can still play the games.)

Each den will be given prize tokens to distribute to the winners at their booth. Scout playing the games will pay with a game token. The carnival is intended to be a fun event but also to teach a business lesson. The idea is for the den to have an interesting game to attract players, but not to be so easy that they give up too many prizes.

Prize Tokens

• 30 Prize tokens will be distributed to each den.
• If a den runs out of tokens they must shutdown for the evening.
• Scouts can redeem their prize tokens for a prize. (See below)

Game Tokens

• Each scout will be given 20 game tokens
• One token for one game. (For instance, in a ball throwing game you might get 5 throws for a token. Each den will have to make these kinds of decisions.)
• When a scout is out of game tokens their evening is done.

Rotation

• 30 minutes of the pack meeting will be set aside for game playing
• They’ll be 3 periods, each 10 minutes.
• Scouts will work in their booth for one period and play for two periods
• Den leaders will provide a schedule for their den before play starts.
• We will make an announcement when we switch periods. Play will stop until the booth attendants for the next period are in place.
• An adult must be present in the booth at all times to supervise.

Setup

• The space between the pillars and the exterior walls will be used for the booths.
• They’ll be a maximum of 8 booths, so probably 4 on each side. (Sorry I don’t have exact dimensions.)
• Booth boundaries will be marked off with yellow caution tape.
• All booths must be setup before the pack meeting starts. Please have a representative from your den arrive early enough to setup.

Den Prizes

• Den Score = (Left Over Prize Tokens X 4) + Game Tokens

Prize Distribution

• The prizes will be predetermined based on the number of prize tokens a scout won. (If we do it like Chucky Cheeses it will take all night.)
• One prize per scout.
• Scouts with most prize tokens go first.
