Camping Lottery Signup

(for scouts currently in 2nd grade)

 

The lottery process for “Dad and Lad” and “Mom and Me” camping is right around the corner. These are over night camping trips run by the council at one of the council camp grounds. They are intended to welcome the scouts into the camping experience and introduce them to Scout sleep away camps. This is one of the highlights of the scouting year and should not be missed!

 

Dad and Lad

This is a one night father and son camp out. Typically, the overwhelming majority of boys attend this event with their fathers. If a father is unable to attend, the scout can still participate. (Max two scouts per adult.)

 

Mom and Me

This is the same as Dad and Lad except intended for single female parent households. (After Febuary 1, it will be open to scouts with both parents in the home, depending on availability.)

 

Scouts may attend both “Dad and Lad” and “Mom and Me”.

 

Lottery Process

Space in the camps is limited and we must enter a lottery process to get the date we want. (Each pack is only given one date for each event.) Please review the dates and put your preferred date along with a reason. The den leaders will choose the 1st, 2nd, and 3d choices for the lottery process based on your input. If we do not get our first choice of dates, we can get a refund up to Feb. 1.

If your son is interested in attending, please return the form below with a check (NO CASH) for the appropriate amount and return it to our camp coordinator, Mr. Schroeder by Nov. 15. (6964 Hi View) Please put it in an envelope marked “Dad and Lad” or “Mom and Me” with the scout’s name.

 

Cost:

$31 per person ($62 for Scout and Parent)
